Welcome to entropyseal. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your purchase, use, and interaction with the entropyseal reusable tamper-evident jar (the “Product”), and any related materials, instructions, packaging, or communications provided by the manufacturer or distributor (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

By purchasing, opening, using, or possessing the Product, you agree to these Terms.


1. Nature of the Product

entropyseal is a novel, reusable, tamper-evident container designed to provide visual or physical indicators of opening or disturbance.

Due to the experimental and innovative nature of the Product:

  • Its behavior may vary between units and uses.

  • Its tamper-evident properties are not guaranteed under all conditions.

  • It is not certified as a security device, forensic device, or evidence-preserving container.

  • It is not intended for use where legal, medical, forensic, regulatory, or safety-critical reliability is required.

You acknowledge that entropyseal is an experimental consumer product and agree to use it accordingly.


2. No Guarantees or Warranties

The Product is provided “as is” and “as available.”

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Fitness for a particular purpose

  • Merchantability

  • Reliability of tamper indication

  • Durability across repeated uses

  • Suitability for storing specific substances

  • Resistance to environmental factors (temperature, pressure, moisture, vibration, impact, etc.)

We do not guarantee that:

  • Tampering will always be detectable

  • False positives will not occur

  • False negatives will not occur

  • The Product will perform consistently over time

You assume all risk associated with its use.


3. Intended and Prohibited Uses

Intended Use

entropyseal is intended for general consumer use as a container with experimental tamper-evident properties.

Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Product:

  • For medical, pharmaceutical, laboratory, or forensic storage

  • As evidence in legal or regulatory matters

  • For storing hazardous, volatile, pressurized, corrosive, or illegal substances

  • In any life-critical, safety-critical, or compliance-regulated environment

  • In a manner inconsistent with common sense or basic safety practices


4. User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

  • Determining whether the Product is suitable for your intended purpose

  • Inspecting the Product before each use

  • Understanding that repeated reuse may degrade its behavior

  • Monitoring the Product for wear, damage, or failure

  • Ensuring contents are appropriate for storage in a consumer jar

You accept that interpreting whether tampering has occurred is your responsibility, not ours.


5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for:

  • Direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages

  • Loss of property, data, or contents stored in the Product

  • Misinterpretation of tamper evidence

  • Failure of the Product to indicate tampering

  • Incorrect indication of tampering

  • Legal, financial, or personal consequences arising from reliance on the Product

Your sole remedy for any claim related to the Product is a refund of the purchase price, at our discretion.


6. No Security or Legal Representation

entropyseal is not a security device.

It does not replace:

  • Locks

  • Seals certified by standards organizations

  • Evidence bags

  • Regulatory compliance packaging

  • Chain-of-custody systems

Use of the Product does not establish proof of tampering or non-tampering in any legal context.


7. Modifications and Reuse

Because the Product is reusable:

  • Performance may degrade over time

  • Prior use may affect future tamper behavior

  • Modifications, cleaning methods, or environmental exposure may alter functionality

We are not responsible for outcomes resulting from reuse.


8. Assumption of Risk

By using entropyseal, you acknowledge and accept that:

  • The concept is novel

  • Outcomes are not fully predictable

  • There are no guarantees

  • You are voluntarily assuming all associated risks


9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from:

  • Your use or misuse of the Product

  • Your reliance on the Product’s tamper-evident properties

  • Your storage of materials in the Product

  • Your violation of these Terms


10. Returns and Refunds

Refunds or replacements, if offered, are provided at the Company’s discretion and do not imply fault, defect, or warranty.


11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Product constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.


12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Insert Jurisdiction], without regard to conflict of law principles.
